Copenhagen is a clean, green, safe and efficient city. Copenhagen's international airport is 20 minutes (8km) from CBS. The city is well-connected with train, tram and bus. For many Copenhagen residents, bicycle is the preferred mode of transport.

Housing in Copenhagen is often difficult to find and expensive. CBS have a student housing service and access to 9 furnished residence halls which students may apply for. There is no guarantee of housing and some students will necessarily have to rent privately. As of autumn 2012, the cost for private housing was on average £425 to £630 per month (DKK 3,700-5,500). The estimated annual cost of housing for a single student is £7,560 (DKK 66,000).
